Why Jana

Not a booth. A conversation.

A spray tan is only as good as the person choosing the formula and the hand applying it. Jana has done both for every client since 2007.

  1. Chosen for you

There is no house shade. Jana reads your skin and undertone, listens to how you want to look and settles the formula with you, so the tan reads as yours.

  2. Never shared

You are the only client in the studio. No waiting room, no assistant and no hurry, from the first hello to the last mist.

  3. Timed to the day

Every tan comes with a rinse time worked out around your plans, and the planner above does the counting backward from your date.

“I thought getting a spray tan would be a bit awkward but Jana, the owner, made me feel so comfortable and my tan looks very even and natural.”

The visit

Easier than you imagine.

Most first-timers say the appointment was easier than they imagined. This is exactly how it goes.

  1. Arrive

Park free behind the building and come upstairs to Suite N.

  2. Change

A private changing room has everything you need. Wear what you came in, or nothing at all.

  3. Choose

A short talk about your skin, your date and the depth you have in mind. You do not need to know what you want first.

  4. Tan

Jana applies it by hand, guiding you through a few easy positions. It takes about twenty minutes.

  5. Go

Leave with your rinse time written down, in something loose and dark.

“When I decided to start dating again at 45 after my divorce, I wanted something to help me feel confident in my own skin... She made me feel completely relaxed, listened to what I needed, and gave me back my glow.”

Lauren C.

“The level of care provided here is so rare these days. She never rushes you, makes sure you’re completely at ease, and delivers incredible results. I’ve referred half my office to deSoleil!”

Your First Custom Tan

Your first custom tan, without the guesswork.

A first spray tan brings questions most people only think of the night before: what to wear, whether to shave, when to rinse, and why the bronzer that washes off in the shower isn't the tan you keep. This free guide answers each one, from the week before your appointment to the day your tan begins to fade. A few short notes from Jana follow by email, including which day to book before your occasion and what your first tan shows you as it fades.

  • What a spray tan is, and how your formula is chosen for your skin
  • How to prepare, step by step, including when to book waxing, facials and nails
  • Your own plan, dated from the occasion you choose

A trip, a party, photos? We'll remind you when to book.

By requesting the guide, you'll also receive Letters from the studio, deSoleil's email to clients. Unsubscribing takes one click, any time. deSoleil never shares or sells your email.

Questions

What first-timers ask most.

How far ahead should I book?

One to two days before your date works best, which leaves time for the tan to finish developing. If you have never had one, a trial a couple of weeks ahead lets you see how it develops and fades. Pick your date in the planner above and it counts the days for you.

Will it look natural?

That is the point of a custom tan. The formula is chosen for your undertone, the depth is yours to decide, and a first tan often starts a shade lighter. It fades gradually and evenly over one to two weeks as your skin renews.

Why does it look so dark at first?

What you see on the drive home is mostly a cosmetic bronzer, a guide color that shows Jana where the formula has gone. It rinses away in your first shower while the tan keeps developing underneath, reaching its finished depth over about 24 hours.

How should I prepare?

Exfoliate gently with exfoliating gloves, textured mitts you wear in the shower, at every shower in the days before. Moisturize daily until the day before, book waxing at least a day ahead, and arrive with clean, dry skin and no lotion, oil, deodorant or makeup.

Will it get on my clothes?

Before your first rinse the bronzer can transfer onto fabric, and it washes out of most materials. After the rinse, the tan stays on your skin. Wear something loose and dark home.

What happens if I do not love it?

Let Jana know within 24 hours and it will be taken care of.

Can I swim afterward?

Yes, after the first 24 hours, and as much as you like. Rinse and moisturize within 10 minutes of each swim, since salt water and chlorine can fade a tan a little sooner.

Can I book at the last minute?

Online booking stays open until 12 hours before an appointment. For anything sooner, call or text (831) 479-8266.
